In October, 2013, I attended Jay Wimer's excellent Chama Steam Fall Madness event on the ex Denver & Rio Grande Western narrow gauge Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Power was C-18 315 and newly restored K-27 "Mudhen" 463. We had excellent weather, a couple of night shoots, a derailment (caboose, nobody in it was hurt) and unusually, a night at Osier. The good folks at Osier provided their usual excellent food, and Jay supplied cots and sleeping bags for a comfortable night. We had a night shoot with the 315 and the water tank, then were up pre dawn for some more shooting. All in all a very enjoyable event! Thanks, Jay!
