Caribbean Adventures on the Wind Surf

We left for our Wind Star Caribbean cruise on the Wind Surf on February 28th, flying to Phoenix, JFK and Saint Martin, arriving on the 29th in the mid afternoon. Many of the islands still showed damage from the last hurricane. They rely heavily on tourism, Saint Martin was only permitting local island flight for residents from March 17th onwards, and the cruise ships all went off to their home ports. The Wind Surf cancelled all cruises until further notice, and sailed for layup in Lisbon after all passengers disembarked. We had two extra nights in Simpsons Bay and were happy our flights were on the 16th. We expected mass chaos at Miami International, but zipped right through immigration and customs! Then we got to spend 8 hours at DFW!
