A Trip to DC

In late April I Flew to Reagan National Airport in Washington DC to meet my wife, her sister and brother-in-law and a couple of cousins-in-law. I drove out to Delaware, which took a long time as traffic in DC was pretty much at a standstill. The following day's weather report was dismal, so the day after I went up to Perryville to have a look at Amtrak's new electrics.
Next day we set off to DC, taking the rental car back to Reagan and catching the Metro to Navy yard to stay with our nephew. After lunch at a nice brewpub, we were taken on a tour of DC.  Over the next few days we all walked a good deal taking in some of the many sights and enjoying the company and hospitality of our nephew, his parents and our cousins-in-law.
Finally we had to head back to Reagan to pick up a car to attend a wedding in North Carolina before driving back to Reagan for our flight home to Tucson.
